Everything Orgo Travel Organizer Review

Happy Monday! Looking for a great holiday gift? Today, I’m reviewing the Everything Orgo Lite Travel Organizer.

In April, I was at The International Travel Goods Show and came across this unique product.

When traveling, have you ever come across the problem of not having enough counter space for your toiletries? Have you dropped your products in the sink?
Orgo solves these problems and more. The creators came up with a water resistant, organizational case that expands over the sink and enhances storage space.

I travel frequently and the majority of my traveling is 2-4 weeks at a time, which means I take a lot with me. Orgo is sleek and compact, so it doesn’t take up much space in my suitcase. While compact, it does give me ample room to put all of my items. There are also removal organizational inserts/dividers.

As you can see, I have room for my skin care products, toothbrush, shaver and deodorant, as well as my makeup. There are zippered compartments on each side and I like to put my jewelry in them, or a makeup palette.

I use mine for toiletries, but the possibilities are truly endless. You can use this for children and put some snacks, crayons and small toys --- Or, put a small tablet, pens, a journal etc.

I decided to play around with mine and see what I could fit in it.
I was able to fit snacks, sunglasses, an essential oil, crystals, perfume, lipstick and chapstick, earbuds, phone charger, a book an IPad, and more.

Specs:
Comes in black with hot pink, black with lime green, or plain black (On their website, you will also see some other styles/colors)

Dimensions:
15" x 11" x 2.25 (zipped)
22" x 11 x 2.25" (with ORGOsliderTM  extended)
36" x 11 x 2.25 (fully expanded)
Weight: 1.65 lbs

To open case fully and have it expand, unsnap the tabs (found at bottom of case) and slide the two pieces apart.

Goddess Provisions (August Unicorn Magic Review) Subscription Box

Happy Monday! Today, I'm reviewing a subscription box called, Goddess Provisions. I discovered them in December and have been receiving their emails ever since. This is my first box and I'm super excited to show it to you.

Their August box is called, "Unicorn Magic" and after opening it, I was really pleased. It costs $33 a month. They offer you the option of purchasing as a one time "gift," so that it doesn't automatically renew. If you provide your email address, you'll get updates on the box of the month as well as their special edition boxes that you can then sign up to receive.

On their website, it's says there are typically 4-6 full sized items. I received 8 items (totaling $90 according to their listed value). The items vary from aromatherapy, beauty products, teas, crystals, etc. A definite pro is that everything is vegan and cruelty free!

1. Soul Sunday Unicorn Aromatherapy Roller $18 Value

This roller has a blend of lavender and peppermint essential oils. It is vegan, hand-blended and what I really like, is that the roller ball is silver and feels nice when you apply it onto your pulse points.

2. Soul Candy Chakra Diffuser Stone $5 Value

There are seven different chakras, therefore I could have received any of them in my box. The universe happened to give me the third eye chakra stone which is definitely fitting.

So what is neat about this product is that you can add a couple drops of essential oil on the white surrounding portion of the stone and then place a crystal in the center. You then can place the diffuser stone on your body and the little disc will keep your crystal in place.

3. Awaken Essential Oils Rainbow Energy Inhaler $12 Value

I have a natural peppermint inhaler that I purchased at my local health food store, but I'm absolutely obsessed with this one. It smells amazing. There is a blend of rose, orange, lemon, lavender, green mandarin and blue chamomile. I'm definitely putting this in my purse!

4. Unicorn Makeup Brush $11 Value

Who doesn't want makeup a brush that reminds you of a Unicorn?? This fan shaped brush can be used to apply highlighter and get that glowing unicorn look! The quality of this brush didn't blow me away, but I was able to apply highlighter pretty well.

5. Sweetapolita Twinkle Sprinkles $9 Value

This made me smile. How cute! Vegan sprinkles with edible gold stars. You're probably supposed to be putting these on some sugar cookies or a treat, but I prefer to just sneak a handful every now and then. Shhhh!

6. Heart + Hands Self-Care Sticker $4 Value

I'm always happy to get a sticker...especially this one! I love the intention of it and want to obtain a poster or jumbo sticker that looks like this. I found the creator of this sticker on Etsy and her shop is adorable. Click here, to check her store out!

7. Let's Put A Bird On It Unicorn Dust Highlighter $12 Value

So, we started off with a makeup brush to apply highlighter and now we have unicorn highlighter to try out! This highlighter is organic and is made with flower infused oils and vitamin e. This is a new favorite because of its creamy texture. It starts out subtle, but you can apply more to achieve that glowy goddess look!

8. Crystal Rose Amethyst Orgone Wand $18 Value

This wand is filled with rose quartz, amethyst and crystal quartz. You can use it for reiki, your altar, etc. It's also a loving tool to be used to massage your feet or back. I keep staring at this because of how pretty it is. When holding the wand in my hand, I can feel the good juju. Rose Quartz is one of my favorite crystals to have because it's known for being the stone of love and having healing properties for the heart chakra.

The Goddess Provisions box far exceeded my expectations. I am so in love with all my new goodies.

Ipsy Glam Bag (March 2017 Review)

Today, I am reviewing my March Ipsy Glam Bag. If you aren't familiar with Ipsy...Each month, for $10, I am sent a personalized bag filled with beauty products!

After, arriving home from a month in California, my February and March glam bags were waiting for me to open them. I was really happy with my March bag.

This month, the bag was bigger than usual. Perfect for throwing in my purse!

 1. Doucce

Freematic Eyeshadow in Marisa

This eyeshadow comes in a personalized palette of 4 for $35.00

I happen to love anything rose gold and this has a pretty shimmer which I really liked.
It is suggested to be used for a dual purpose. You can use this as an eyeliner as well, and I am excited to try that out.
The color builds up, so you can leave it subtle, or go for something more vivid.

2. Tarte cosmetics
tarteist™ quick dry matte lip paint in rosé

Full size retails for $20.00

I love Tarte. Their products are of good quality and seem to really last me a while. I'm picky about lipstick shades, but love this color. The applicator makes it go on very smoothly and it dries almost instantly.

3. Beau Gâchis
Tapered Blending Brush
Retails for $12.00

A girl can never have too many brushes, right? I always look forward to getting a new makeup brush in my Ipsy bag each month. The bristles are very soft. I used this brush to blend in my eyeshadow, but it can be used to highlight your cheekbones, or contour your nose.

4. Air Repair Skincare
Complexion-Boosting Moisturizer

Full size retails for about $17.50

I travel a lot and so smaller items that I can easily pack always come in handy. I was just saying how I wanted to try a new moisturizer and then came home to this! So far, I am really enjoying this. It is lightweight and hydrating. I can use this before I put makeup on, since it absorbs pretty quickly.

5. Chella
Eyebrow Highlighter Pencil in Ivory Lace

Retails for $18.00

When I saw this product, I was excited to try it out. I immediately thought to apply it above the brow bone. This is a multi purpose pencil, which means you can also use it to cover up a blemish, as an under eye concealer, etc. The pencil is very creamy and a little goes a long way. This product is definitely going into my makeup bag!

My Carry On Travel Essentials

My Carry On Travel Essentials

I'm currently on a surprise birthday trip to Los Angeles (a present from my dad...Thanks dad) and I thought I'd share with you my essential travel items.

Besides a checked bag, I bring a backpack and a large purse on the plane with me. The backpack holds a lot of the extra stuff that didn't fit in my suitcase and the purse is for everything I'll need for the duration of the flight.

Headphones:

I got these as a birthday gift from my friend Samantha. They fold up and are perfect for traveling.

Sunglasses:

These were a birthday present that I bought for myself. I take sunglasses almost everywhere I go!

Electronics:

Phone charger, Ipad Mini, and a power bank for extra charge.

Reading Material:

I chose to bring four books (I generally also might buy a magazine at the airport).

Don't Mind If I Do By George Hamilton

Joi Lansing - A Body To Die For - A Love Story By Alexis Hunter

Singing The Song Of Life : One Woman's Symphony By Debra Beryle

The Lady, The Legend, The Truth By Lana Turner

Accommodations for resting:

Neck Pillow and Blanket

Makeup:

I use one of my Ipsy bags and carry some of my must haves with me.... Pressed powder, an "everything" balm, lipstick, highlighting powder, an eyeshadow stick, blush, contour stick, and an anti frizz hair product.

To combat any anxiety:

EarPlanes- These are seriously a lifesaver. When I was really young, I would constantly have ear infections. I ended up having tubes put in and throughout my life I have always had a lot of wax buildup. On a plane, my ears are really sensitive and I no longer have to worry about them getting blocked thanks to Earplanes. I also experience little popping and less pain. I don't like traditional earplugs because they are uncomfortable etc, but these are soft and don't go all the way in the ear. They also tune out sounds. You only need to keep them in until the plane has reached maximum altitude and then again when descending.

Rescue Remedy-  I buy the candy pastilles form and they are a natural stress reliever. A friend of mine had me try these a few years ago and now they're always in my purse. They really help when I am feeling anxious.

Thieves Oil-  This essential oil blend is made up of clove, lemon, cinnamon, eucalyptus, and rosemary. Whenever I feel a cold coming on, I make sure to spray this. It also helps with my breathing when I am having some anxiety.

Sea Bands- This is the first time I have traveled with this product. Typically you use this to help with motion sickness or morning sickness. Sea Bands are a knitted band which have a plastic stud that rest on an acupressure point on your wrist. The same pressure point used to help with nausea also can help with stress and anxiety.

Nasal Spray- Helps me to breathe when I'm really congested.

Calm (By Natural Vitality)- This is a magnesium supplement that has a number of uses. I use it when I'm feeling anxious. By taking this on a regular basis, it helps with your overall health. Besides helping with my anxiety, it also helps with PMS, constipation, low energy levels, etc.

Other Necessary Items:

Tissues, Gum, Wallet, Notebook to write in, Snacks (I usually bring protein bars or granola bars of some sort), Deodorant, Underwear (You never know when that will come in handy), Business Cards, Purell, Bandaids, Sanitary Products, and a Toothbrush and Toothpaste.

What are some of your essential items when flying? Where is your next adventure?

10 Items for $10 Or Less

Happy April! This week's blog post is a list of 10 items that you can get for $10 or less (these would make great gifts)!

Bunny Sleep Mask -  $5.99
How cute is this sleep mask?

No explanation necessary. Who doesn't want a pair of pizza socks?

I love face masks and I have seen this particular one mentioned numerous times. They sell it at both Ulta and Sephora. It is formulated with red wine, green tea, jasmine, and rosemary extract and is paraben-free.

Complete Precision Blending Set - $9.99

Beauty blenders are extremely popular right now. What I love about this duo is that it comes with a blending brush...the perfect combination!

Lush is my go to place for bath bombs and this is one of their featured choices.

Look how pretty it is!

Any fanatic of the TV show Friends would really appreciate this for a gift.

I love shopping on Etsy because the majority of the items sold are handmade. How cute is this mug?

I love anything with lace and think this would make a nice overnight or travel cosmetic bag.

I bought this sketchbook as a gift for my best friend and she loves it. It's great quality!

Vogue Coloring Book - $8.88 (Current sale price)

This officially goes on sale tomorrow, April 5th...but is available for pre-order today. I've been waiting for this coloring book for at least six months. Being the fashionista that I am, I can't wait to get my hands on this!

Let me know what you think! Have a wonderful week!

My March Must-Haves!

Happy Monday! Do you believe we are already in the middle of March? Where is the time going?

This week's blog post is on my current favorite things!

1. Wildfox "Je Taime Eiffel Tower Sweatshirt"

Now, I've had my eye on the cute clothes that Wildfox makes for a while. I never could justify spending $100 on a sweater though....Then about a month ago, I checked out Saks Off Fifth and saw their Wildfox clothing. It seemed more reasonable at $54.99...I still was on the fence...Until I tried it on. It is seriously my favorite thing to wear. Super soft and comfy and I love Paris, so it's the perfect sweater for moi!

2. ColourPop Lippie Stix- Brills

I've pretty much fallen in love with this cosmetic brand...I intend to make a future post about ColourPop. This is my new go to lip color. I actually went and ordered three more of this color, since I love it so much. Their Lippie Stix's are only $5 each and are cruelty free.

3. Herbal Authority - Roll-On Tea Tree Oil Blemish Stick

For the past week I have been carrying this roll on stick with me wherever I go. I use a Tea Tree Oil face wash and it's said to help with blemishes...So, when I saw this product, I decided to give it a try. I didn't honestly have high expectations for it, but after using it a few times, I noticed it diminished the size of any blemishes I applied it to. I purchased it from Lucky Vitamin for half the retail price.

4. Earth Balance Vegan Cheddar Squares

While shopping on Lucky Vitamin, I came across Earth Balance snacks. Not eating dairy, I look to that brand for mac and cheese, crackers, etc. I had been craving something like Goldfish/Cheez-It's lately, so I ended up getting a box. I may have finished almost the entire box in a day! Definitely yummy and something I will be purchasing again soon!

5. The Wisdom of Your Face

I have a lot of reference books on health, spirituality, etc. From time to time, I'll get inspired to pick one up, and read a chapter or two, Currently, I am reading this book on Chinese face reading. I find topics like this very interesting and recommend this book if you're interested as well.

What is your favorite item at the moment? Tell me below in the comment section below!

Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques Makeup Review

I'm always looking for natural beauty products to add to my daily regimen. Most of the products I use are vegan/cruelty free, but even those products can still contain chemicals and unnecessary ingredients. I recently came across Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques and was pleased to see they sold sample sizes of all of their makeup so that you could try them and see what works best for you. I was able to buy foundation in more than one color, a couple of eye shadows, all of their highlighters, and a lip glaze.

Foundation:

We'll start with foundation. They sell creme, powder and pressed. I went with a creme and two pressed foundations.  Personally, I wasn't too impressed with the pressed foundation, though it did say it was light to medium coverage, but their creme foundation is my new favorite.

I chose "Natural No. 00"

Pros:
Doesn't look caked on
Doesn't feel heavy
Made with natural ingredients such as Organic Argan Oil, Green Tea Extract, and Zinc Oxide
Comes in over 20 shades
28 SPF

I also found that it had a fresh, dewy look and for being so lightweight, had nice coverage. A little goes a long way! :)

The only "con" I could come up with is that once you blend it, it takes a couple of minutes to in a sense "set."

It lasted me the whole day. I did have to blot once near the end of my day but only in a couple of places.

The sample size is available for $1.50, and the full size for $27.00.

I'm planning on trying their powder foundation. They were out of my shade in the sample size, when I purchased the others.

It's recommended to put the foundation on with a blending sponge, but I used my Urban Decay foundation brush and it worked great.

Eyeshadow:

Like the foundation, their eyeshadow comes in multiple types. They have pressed, powder, and creme eyeshadow. I had been hesitant to try the creme, because in the past I hadn't been impressed with the creme eyeshadows I tried. I ended up getting sample sizes of two of their creme eyeshadows.

I chose these colors:
Plum Fairy (Matte Finish)
Wisteria (Shimmer)

Pros:
Comes in a variety of colors in a matte or shimmer finish
Easy to apply
With primer, was long lasting
Made with natural ingredients such as Shea Butter, Jojoba Oil, and Coconut Oil extract

It's suggested on their website to use the matte shades alone as a contour shade or underneath a loose powder.

I personally used both of these alone, for a more subtle,  natural look and I really loved them.

The sample size is available for $1.50, and the full size for $9.00.

Highlighter:

They have three different highlighters (in warm, neutral and cool shades), I decided to try all three. I've really liked all of them, but my favorite is Brilliance.

I usually use a powder highlighter from NYX or It Cosmetics. I also recently tried the L'Oréal Magic Lumi Highlighter Pen.

Pros:
Nice moisturizing feel
Blends well
Great glow
Made with natural ingredients such as Rosehip Oil, Argan Oil, Beeswax and Organic Neem

I can't wait until the full size highlighter gets here, because I absolutely love it and it now will definitely be a part of my every day makeup routine.

The sample size is available for $1.50, and the full size for $9.50.

ColourFusion Lip Glaze:

They ended up sending me a free sample of one of their ColourFusion Lip Glazes. It was the Strawberries and Cream one. It gave me a hint of color and left my lips feeling extremely moisturized and soft.

Overall, I'm really happy with my makeup from Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques. More companies should take notice and offer sample sizes of their products. Besides the samples I tried, they also sell skincare products (facial serum, eye makeup remover), blush, lip colors, and makeup applicators. You should definitely check out their products. Especially if you're into natural cosmetics.

And if you click this link to their website, you can get 10% off your order! At checkout enter the code, "THEZENFASHIONISTA"

I also plan to purchase their Coffee Scrub and compare it to the one I currently use (Frank Body).

Let me know if you buy anything from Lauren Brooke Cosmetiques. I'd love to hear your feedback on what you think of the products.
