Michigan International Women's Show 2016

Happy Monday! This week I'm blogging about another event I went to. Yesterday, I attended the Michigan International Women's Show. For the past 21 years, this expo has taken place over the course of four days and has hundreds of vendors. There's a variety of booths with food, health and beauty products, home appliances, and more!

How cute are these Switch Art light switch covers? A husband and wife team from San Diego make these and custom make orders as well.

I fell in love with the jewelry that EttaMarie makes! Everything was so unique and beautiful. I ended up buying myself an abalone shell bracelet and a leather cuff as a gift.

Macy's has a "red carpet" section with makeup and beauty products and services. Last year I bought a bottle of Ralph Lauren perfume and received lots of extra goodies, as well as a very pretty engraving on the bottle.

The brand Rock Your Hair does salon cuts and reduces the price of their salon products.

I kept seeing people walking around with hula hoops, so I decided to see what was so special about them. I met a sweetheart of a lady named Chris who founded the company, PowerHoopz (which has been on HSN). She sells hula hoops that help strengthen and tone your body. The difference between this and a regular hula hoop is that PowerHoopz are weighted, which give you more of a workout and are actually easier to use than a typical one that you would find. I've never been able to hula hoop, but decided to give it a try. It seemed like I still couldn't get the hang of it, but after five minutes, I was making progress. I ended up buying one and am challenging myself to learn how to do it this summer. I'm really excited about this (It also comes with a 30 minute workout DVD).

Some of the other vendors:

I had such a great time. Every year is a different experience and I love meeting new people and finding eclectic pieces of jewelry, clothes, etc.
